Larry Zarrella hooked a sail in Guatemala on Murphy's new Loop reel. He got distracted and the sail jerked the rod out of his hand, overboard. Since Steve Dooley had lost Murphy's other fly rod overboard the day before and never heard the end of it, Larry jumps over the stern and dives for the rod. He got the rod but couldn't figure out why he couldn't swim back to the boat, forgetting he had a 100lb sail on the other end. The sail started pulling him away from the boat so he tried to fight it from the water. We were all laughing so hard, he almost drowned. Eventually we got him back and he caught the fish - the drag on the Loop reel worked fine through it all.....
